Although the team lost, Lee Jung-hoo was very active.

The San Francisco Giants lost the game against the Washington Nationals in the “2024 Major League Baseball” at Oracle Park in San Francisco, California, on April 9 (Korea time).

San Francisco lost 1-8 on the day.

Despite the team’s complete defeat, Lee shined out. Playing as the first center fielder on the day, Lee had two hits and one walk from three times at bat, including his first double. After reporting a hit from his first at-bat in the bottom of the first inning, Lee hit a sharp left-handed hit in the second at-bat, and made a double with fast feet. In the third at-bat, he allowed a walk to get on base. Lee, who had multi hits and posted hits in two consecutive games, posted a batting average of 0.238 this season.

Washington immediately turned the tables in the top of the second inning. With one out, Ruiz and Vargas walked in succession to get on base, and Lipscomb hit a timely hit, stole second base and made it to second and third base with one out. When Garcia made a timely RBI, Washington added one more run as Garcia and Lipscomb made a double steal.

Washington added three more runs in the top of the fifth inning to widen the gap. After one out, Winker walked on base and Thomas fired a two-run shot. Gallo scored a double to create another chance, and Vargas called Gallo with a double after two outs.

Washington added two more runs in the top of the ninth inning to seal the victory. Young got on base with a dune and Winker had a hit, creating a chance, and Thomas called Young in with a timely hit. Vargas then added one more run with a walk.
